"I beseech you therefore, brethren to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service" (Rom. 12:1).

People are constantly asking the question, "How can I know God's will for my life?" In this chapter Paul gives some principles to follow in knowing and doing God's will. In 2 Corinthians 8:5 we read, "......but first they gave their own selves to the Lord." God is more interested in our own lives than in our service. Paul challenged the Romans to present their bodies to God.

"Presenting" means to put something at the disposal of another to do with as he pleases. As we make a total commitment to Him, we present our bodies to Him, including our eyes, ears, lips , hands, feet, our all. We recognize His Lordship over our lives. We make our bodies available for His use at any time, in any way.

By such an act of commitment we give Him our wills, our ambitions, our all, in exchange we accept His will for our lives. He has a right to be the Lord of our lives. "When you think of what He has done for you, is this too much to ask?" He purchased us at a great price, His death on the cross. "You are not your are bought with a price" (1 Cor. 6:19-20).

When we present our bodies as a living sacrifice, we become an instrument in which His will can be accomplished. When we yield completely to Him, and turn our lives over to Him, He becomes our Lord. Paul summed it up this way, "For me to live is Christ" (Phil. 1:21).

Lets tell the Lord, "Here is my body for your use; I'm available."

Have a wonderful Friday...The best is yet to mark Phil. 4:11
