"I will sing to the Lord as long as I live. I will praise God to my last breath" (Ps. 104:33).

One of the cool things about singing is that we are all good at it in our hearts and minds. When we "sing in our hearts" during the day, it makes the time go by quicker, lifts our spirits, and gives us peace.

Music has an important place in the Christian life. In the Old testament, singers were especially appointed to serve God in His sanctuary. In the New Testament, Paul wrote, "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs" (Eph. 5:19). WE are to be the "company of singers."

When Jesus Christ becomes our personal Savior, He gives us a new song, "He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to God". (Ps. 40:3). Then the psalmist says, "I will sing as long as I live."

On the bright days and the dark days, the sad and happy days, the easy and the difficult days, we will sing to the Lord. We can have a lifetime of singing to Him. Then the Psalmist says, "I will praise God to my last breath." Today our hearts may be heavy. Our song may be gone. Praising God is an effective way of bringing back our song. The song of our heart, even though weak, catches the listening ear of God. Our spirits are lifted and our hearts overflow with joy. There can be a lifetime of praise to Him.

He says, "My meditation of him shall be sweet" (Ps. 104:34). Real meditation is thinking of HIM. Then He says, "I will be glad in the Lord." The rest of our days, our lifetime, we can be glad in the Lord. "I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth" (Ps. 34:1).

Have a great beginning to your weekend, and a wonderful and meaningful worship on the Lord's day.... Love mark Phil. 4:11)
