"Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it in until completion until the day of Jesus Christ" (Phil. 1:6).

Today is a day of timesavers and shortcuts. A day of "instant". Our young people have grown up with it and we who are older have grown into it. Everything that will bring rapid results and save time.

Sometimes we try to take the "instant path" in our spiritual growth, but discover that it simply does not work. Paul wrote here that God will help carry out our "growth completion" until "the day of Jesus Christ."

We are eager to reach maturity, but there are just simply no short cuts, no instant formulas to spiritual growth. Sometimes we grow impatient with the process, but God knows what He is doing. It does not develope overnight. It is an ongoing process throughout our entire lifetime. God isn't in a hurry, for He desires a life not just to be lived on this earth but to live with Him throughout all eternity.

In the beginning of a picture, an artist sketches the outline first. Then the finer details are filled in. So it is in our Christian lives. When a person becomes a Christian, the outline of his Christian character is sketched in, but the details that bring spiritual maturity are filled in throughout his entire life. We should grow each day. There are many finishing touches that the Master Artist wants to put on our lives if we only let Him, to complete them according to His plan.

God is not through with us yet, allow Him to keep working....

Have a wonderful Tuesday....The best is yet to come....Love mark Phil. 4:11
