"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?" (Matt. 6:25)

Don't you love to listen the sounds of birds in the morning? Its like a "morning concert." They are out early searching for their daily food, yet as I listen to them sing, I detect no fretting, frustration, or worry. In the next verse it says, "that the heavenly Father feeds them."

Today it is easy to get caught up in the pressurized world of "accumulating." Enough that it can work us into a frenzy if we allow it to. Jesus spoke of the uselessness and futility of worry when He said, "Don't worry about things----food, drink, clothes. For you already have a life and a body---they are far more important than what you wear." He used the birds to illustrate the freedom from worry, "Look at the birds! They don't worry about what to eat--- they don't need to sow or reap or store up food---for your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than they are" (Vs 26)

Neither are we to worry about what we wear. "And why worry about your clothes? Look at the lilies! They don't worry about theirs. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won't he surely care for you, O men of little faith?" (vv. 28-20) Jesus said to His disciples, "O you of LITTLE FAITH." If we are worried or anxious, doesn't it reveal our lack of faith in God to care for us? The antidote for fear is putting our trust completely in Him. Trust and worry do not dwell together If we trust, we do not worry. If we worry, we do not trust.

Trust? Carry Psalm 86:2 around with you today...Lets allow our trust to grow so that we can shine for the Lord...

Have a great Saturday....Love mark Phil. 4:11
