"When I am afraid, I will trust in you" (Ps. 56:3).

David was always honest in his reactions to the circumstances of his life. He was willing to admit his weaknesses but he didn't concentrate on them. He took them to God and let Him meet them for him. Fear was very real in his life. He didn't try to cover it, but confessed it. "When I am afraid."

David learned that the only way to be released from fears was to TRUST in the Lord. "When I am afraid, I will trust in you." He changed the focus of his eyes from his situation to the Lord. Faith replaced fear. He PUT his trust in the Lord. This was an act of his will. "In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man might do to me" (Ps. 56:11) Freedom from fear is the result of confidence and trust in God. We may be helpless against fear, but God is not. When trusting God, there is nothing to fear.

Faith is more than believing what God can do. It is trust in the person of God Himself. "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him" (Heb. 11:6). When a person trusts God, he will not be afraid. "I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation" (Isa. 12:2).

One day a father discovered his little son had climbed an old tree. The limbs were beginning to break under his weight. The father held up his arms and called, "Jump! I'll catch you." The little boy considered the offer for a moment. Then as more limbs began to break, he said, "Should I let go of everything, Daddy, and trust you?"

Our heavenly father wants us to let go of everything and trust Him.

Have a wonderful day. Make a difference....Love mark Phil. 4:11
