God's Extraordinary Love

"Though you have not seen him, you love him; even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressable and glorious joy" (1 Peter 1:8).

The Christmas message is the message of God's love for the world. "For God so loved the world" (John 3:16). In the most wonderful way, He demonstrated His love. "This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live" (1 John 4:9).

"For God so love the world." This includes you and me. When God's love reaches down and touches our lives, His love becomes real in us. It is natural, then, for our hearts to respond in love to Him. "We love because he first loved us" (1 John 4:19).

God's love is a unique love, an extraordinary love, a love for Someone we have not seen. Human love is dependent on sight, but our love for the Lord is real, though we have never seen Him in person. "Though you have not seen him, you love him." The picture that Peter paints to those who have not "seen" Him, is painted on the canvas of their (and our) spiritual vision.

This love is the product of faith. The world says that seeing is believing. The child of God knows that believing is seeing. "Though you have not seen him, you love him." By faith we come to know Him, and the better we know Him, the deeper our faith in Him, and the more real He becomes to us. This strong confident trust in Him brings joy to our lives, a joy beyond words, a joy unspeakable and full of glory.

Lets be aware today of God's presonal love for us and make Him the object of our love. Though we have not seen Him physically, yet as we believe on Him and love Him, our lives will be filled with unspeakable joy.

Have a wonderful day...Let you light shine.... Love mark Phil. 4:11
