God Has A Plan For Us

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future" (Jer. 29:11).

What a great scripture!

This year we are now entering is unknown in many ways to us, but known to God. He has a plan for us. A plan for EACH of us. Included in that plan is this new year ahead of us.

When Jeremiah wrote this scripture, His people were in captivity in Babylon. Jeremiah's message was that their God had not forgotten them, but in His own time He would return them to their homeland...."For I know the plans I have for you." Though things did not look good for at the time, God assured them that their welfare was still in His mind. We can't see what lies ahead in the new year, but God can..."For I know the plans I have for you." His plans are for the present moment..NOW. He knows everything about us. The where, the why, and the what. His plans fit into our lives to accomplish.

His plans are with purpose. "Plans to prosper you and not to harm you." We often see our circumstances as calamaties, but not so with God. He loves us and desires the best for us. We view our situations from where we are, but God sees them completed and fitted into His plans. He has prospective plans for our future. We are to be with Him in heaven. There we will experience no sorrow or pain. Our tears will be wiped away. Just the knowlege that He will return for us gives us hope for today.

We can face the new year with peace of heart and mind, knowing that God is working out His plans not only for our life on earth but through eternity. His plan for our lives finds completion and fulfillment in Jesus Christ. We have the assurance that "all things work for good for those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose" (Rom. 8:28).

Have a great Wednesday...Let you light shine....Love mark Phil. 4:11
