Unless

"I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord" (Psa. 27:13).

God constantly gives us encouragement through His Word. He gives us the principles and guidlines for living our lives, even if they are are filled with uncertainties, insecurities, or perplexities. The Psalms are such a great place to go because David experienced alot of the same situations we face. He often had lapses in courage. He often was discouraged, and fell into despair. In this scripture, he was in one of those dilemnas. He said, "I would have despaired."

We find a key word here...Actually David found it....UNLESS....Unless what? "Unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of God." We often hear the old adage, "seeing is believing." David believed when he could not see the outcome. When he was almost in despair, he looked to his Lord in trust and belief.

We too have had times in our lives when we have become mentally or emotionally fatigued. Perhaps ready to faint beneath the load of care. Because of the strain we may have felt that the burden was getting too big. It is then that WE must also learn the word UNLESS. Learn to "see and believe the goodness of the Lord." Instead of placing all of our focus on the problem, we must place it on God. Then we can experience the rest that comes with trusting Him completely. Instead of fainting, we must trust and believe Him. When we do this our troubles can become triumphs. God has no problems, only solutions and plans for us. He will take our problems and convert them into His plan if we let Him.

I cannot say it better than Isaiah did, "He gives strength to the weary, and to him that lacks might He increases power" (40:29).

Have a wonderful day filled with Godly thoughts. Let your light shine Love mark Phil. 4:11
