JESUS - Our Lord And Master

"Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned to him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" "(which means Teacher or Master) (John 20:16).

As we approach our respective worship services on Sunday, it is because of Jesus. Because of our crucified and Risen Savior. Mary immediatly recognized the Savior and called Him by the respectful term, "Teacher or Master." Her whole attitude was summed up in these words. He was her Master and Teacher.

If Jesus is the Master in our lives today, what should be our attitudes and motives toward Him? First, we should love Him from the deepest part of our innermost being. The first commandment? "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind" (Matt 22:37). It is a love that is satisfied with nothing less than the Lord Himself. It never counts any costs. "Though you have not seen Him, you love Him;you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressable and glorious joy" (1 Pet. 1:8).

Another attitude and motive ought to be a desire to worship and adore Him. Worship is truely being completely attached to Him and occupied by Him. To worship the Lord our God in the beauty of holiness. If we are to REALLY worship Him, we must spend time with Him. As our master, He deserves our complete and undivided allegiance and loyality.

"Why do you call me, "Lord, Lord" and not do what I say" (Luke 6:46)? If we do in reality have love, adoration and allegiance FOR Him, it will be measured in our obedience TO Him. We are to say "Lord, Lord" with our mouths and show it with our lives.

Have a great weekend and a fantastic worship on the Lord's day...Let you light shine for Him....Love mark Phil. 4:11
