Wisdom For Life

"It is because of Him that you are in Jesus Christ, who has become for us wisdom from God---that is our righteousness, holiness, and redemption" (1 Cor. 1:30).

The computer age is amazing. Great amounts of knowledge at our fingertips. Type a little, push a key, and there it is. With all this knowledge available to us, why aren't we wiser? Because knowledge alone does not bring wisdom. Wisdom is good judgement based on our knowledge. REAL wisdom is God-given. "But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong" (1 Cor.1:27).

Wisdom is the ability to meet each situation of our lives with discernment and good judgment. When we allow Jesus into our lives, He becomes our wisdom. He will guide us in making the right decisions and in solving our problems. Our God requires of us a righteousness that we simply do not have by ourselves. But in His great love and wisdom, He provided that righteousness for us in Jesus Christ. Here's how He does it. "God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God" (2 Cor. 5:30).

God sanctified us through Jesus. He set us apart for God's plan to make us of the image of His Son. As His Son's life becomes a part of ours, we are able to be Christ-like in our actions. It is not what we have done, but what he does in us. He redeems us from the shackles of sin and its power over us. He provided a ransom for us in Christ. This redemption is more than just a deliverance from the power of sin. It is completed in our salvation at Jesus' return.

Try getting that out of a computer key. Real wisdom? It is in the knowledge and presence of Jesus Christ in our lives. We are able to infuse into our lives all that he has made available to us. We just need to let Him in.

Have a wonderful day...Let you light shine for Him Love mark Phil. 4:11
