Our Fullness In Jesus

"For in Christ all the fullness of Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority" (Col. 2:9-10).

Remember when you were little wondering what God was like? This big gray haired man in the sky with a fierce look on His face (when it thundered, God was bowling?) Some today still wonder what God is really like, and whether anyone can actually know Him. "No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made Him known" (John 1:18).

To know God and what He is like, we must know Christ. The fullness of God is indeed in Jesus. As Jesus walked the earth, it was with God's feet. As he spoke it was with God's voice. When He looked around and saw the needs of the people, it was through God's eyes. One of the reasons that Jesus came to earth was to reveal God to us. Another was to bring fulfillment and completion into our lives.

When we become Christians, and Jesus becomes our Savior, we are complete in Him. "[A]nd you have been given fullness in Christ."....The King James version says, "Ye are complete in Him." Either way, I think this means that HIS completeness makes us complete and gives fulfillment to us.

Since this is true, we do not have to be resigned to the struggles of life. We do not have to struggle alone with our weak and limited resources. We have fullness in Christ...We have completeness in Christ. He is there to meet all of our needs. Do we need strength" He's got it. Is it peace we need?

He will bring it to us. Do we need patience? He IS our patience.

Alone we are nothing, but in Him we are everything. Let us know what is available to us and appropriate it in our lives. WE ARE COMPLETE IN HIM.....IN HIM IS OUR FULLNESS!

Have a great Friday...Let you light shine for Him...Love mark Phil. 4:11
