You And Me, God

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you" (Ps. 32:8).

We all get a chance to enroll in God's College of Knowledge. It is filled with course offerings designed to help us in our everyday living, enrich our lives, and improve our relationships. The associate instructors have, with divine inspiration, written texts for us for these purposes. The Lord Himself promises to be our teacher.

As we start taking His classes, He makes us three promises in this verse. First He says, "I will instruct you." Instruct means to actually communicate knowledge and to inform. He offers to impart this knowledge in such a way, that we will be able to walk daily with His Word as a "lamp unto our feet." His textbook will enable us to find the instructions for successful daily living. Some of it is written in specifics and some in more general terms, but this promise is ours. The more we read, and the more we open our hearts, the more revelation we will find.

God's College also has a more practical side to it. "I will TEACH you in the way you should go."But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you" (John 14:26). This is God's Course of Practical Training, with the Holy Spirit as our special teacher. His Word is still our guide, but the Holy Spirit is there to help us remember the teachings.

Finally, many colleges have special counselors to give direction and guidance. God's College of Knowledge has one of these too. The Lord Himself fills this role. "I will counsel you and watch over you." God knows that in our daily walk we need help to take each step. He is that help. "He will not let your foot slip---He who watches over you will not slumber;" (Ps. 121:3).

In God's College of Knowledge, we all get the opportunity to attain a PhD. A PhD in life. The teacher is without flaw, and His Word is transcendent. If you have not applied, please do so today.

Have a great Tuesday....Make a difference...Love mark Phil. 4:11
