The Grace Of God - Getting What We Don't Deserve

"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men" (Titus 2:11).

The concept of God's grace may be the single most thrilling of all words related to life. In the New Testament, grace takes on a special redemptive quality. It makes God available to sinners who actually don't deserve it. Human salvation is the result of God's grace...This most beautiful and wonderful truth should never in any way be minimized. It should never be compromised. It should never be perverted.

God's grace has been opened to the entire human family. That's what Paul has written to Titus in today's scripture. God's grace is an encompassing one, but does it mean that all humans will be saved? If this were true, it would contradict too much other scriptural evidence. What Paul suggests here is that heaven is open to all.(potentially) It is open to all who care to access it by following His divine plan of redemption. Our Bibles always point to that plan.

There is most certainly a grace/knowledge connection. To use our computers, we must have the knowledge necessary to access the information that it makes available. Take it from someone who had to be dragged, kicking and resisting, into the computer age. Being able to access means everything. The access to God's grace comes through an objective knowledge of what the scriptures reveal to us.

If we look at Paul's very next words for Titus, he says, "It (grace) teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and Godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope---the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave himself to us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good" (Vs 12-14)

With the knowledge that comes with grace, our lives should be changed. We should want to live in a more Godly fashion, so that God knows that we are really trying to be a deserving people. Grace is dispensed to those who fall under it...it requires an understanding and obedience. It is a great and wonderful gift...More tomorrow....

Have a very good day....Make a difference.... Love mark Phil. 4:11
