Gaining Access To Grace - And Continuing

"But when the kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit" (Titus 3:4 & 5).

Do you remember when you got a driver's license for the first time? Did you have to study the book and practice driving to pass the test(s). When you finally obeyed all the rules laid down by your state, you got your license. I believe that grace is accessed initially though our faith and obedience. It should not be shocking that grace and obedience go hand in hand.

To me it seems that "cleansed" and "saved" represent the same thing. Paul stated, "We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Jesus raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life" (Rom. 6:4). Heaven's grace plan includes obedience. Grace and obedience are not in opposition to one another, but rather connected.

The wonderful state of grace is a thing to be embraced and cherished. When we love something with a tenacious love, we will not want to let it go, no matter what the circumstance. In Acts 13:43, Paul and Barnabas urged the converts to "continue in the grace of God." This indicates that we must continue on in our Christian lives. Continuing in following the teachings of His Word, so that we may grow in faith, grace and knowledge.

Grace is a soul-thrilling concept. One to be deeply appreciated and attached to. It should never be denigrated by a lack of knowledge...never manipulated or distorted...Just accepted for what it is...A GREAT AND WONDERFUL GIFT FROM GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST....

Have a wonderful day...Make a difference....Love mark Phil. 4:11
