"The Miracle on the Hudson"

"Coincidence....God's way of remaining anonymous." Albert Einstein

The 18th century was described as the age of reason. I think that the 21st might be aptly described as the age of hyperbole. Everything is bigger and better and if it isn't, exaggeration is utilized to make it that way. We always speak in reverence about "the one that got away." We often view things that transpire in extraordinary means as miracles, and throw the word around as if it is as commonplace as our next step.

The Bible explains to us why miracles took place in the 1st century. Why? Why didn't Jesus enter the world through "natural conception?" Why didn't Jesus just sail to his disciples in a boat? Why was Lazarus raised from the dead? Why did Jesus change the water to wine? John told us it was to confirm WHO HE WAS to the world. "Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name" (John 20:30 & 31).

We do not need to search for miraculous events to shape our faith. There is no "miracle spring water" or "annointed prayer cloths" that will bring on miracles. Rather than wait for a miracle to confirm my belief, I would rather dwell on Jesus the Son of God in all His glory. Know that "love never fails...But where there are prophesies they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when the perfect comes, the imperfect disappears" (1 Cor. 13:-10).

Are there things that are difficult to explain sometime? Of course. God meets our needs according to HIS WILL through the natural forces of His creation. Looking for miracles....I give you a man walking on the moon, cell phones, DVDs, organ transplants, laser surgery, organ transplants, and kidney dialysis. I am sure that there is more cool stuff to come...

Have a great day...Let your light shine for Him.. Love mark Phil. 4:11
