No Timeouts Left

"Show me O Lord, my life's end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life......Each man's life is but a breath" (Psa. 4 & 5).

Time....Such a simple word, yet so hard to define...It is the best builder, the best investigator, the best doctor, and the best negotiator to patch up friendships. Thomas Edison said this about it; "Time is the most important thing in the world." I am not convinced that is completely true, but this I know. Character may be broken down and built up again. Our health may be lost and regained. We may for a while lose a friend and have our friendship restored. We may gain new friends. We may make a lot of money, lose it, and gain it back.....But time can never be recalled!

When utilized in the right way, time can give most of us a living. It can give us friends, happiness and health. Most importantly, it can give to us a wonderful and beautiful relationship with our God.

Because our time on earth is brief, it so important to use the amount we have in a positive way. "Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" (Psa.90:12)..."Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring" (Prov.27:1)...."As long as it is day, we must do the work of Him who sent me. Night is coming when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world" (Jn.9: 4 & 5)..."Be very careful, then, how you live---not as unwise, making the most of every opportunity" (Eph. 5: 15 & 16).

Our whole Bibles are all about time and the way we are to spend it. God wants us to be productive, useful people of compassion and service. He wants us to use the time allotted to us for purposeful work....HIS WORK! The time we spend in the Word is time well spent...."And I will meditate on it day and night."

Have a great start to your week...Go about doing good...Love mark Phil. 4:11
