FTA - Jesus The Answer 2

"Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but to the interests of others" (Phil.2:4).

I am continuing some thoughts on how Jesus can be the answer to the problems of life. So much of our energy in life is spent in "putting out the fires." You know... Those little things that nag at us and cause so much pain and turmoil at times...Yesterday we spoke of how Jesus is the answer to some of life's problems. Today we'll look a few more. Lets take a look at economics. When Jesus fed the 5,000 in John the sixth chapter with just five loaves and two small fish, there were 12 baskets of food left over. Jesus said, "gather the pieces that are left over. Let nothing be wasted" (V12). Want usually follows waste. Bad trades may be a part of baseball, but in life, when one party takes advantage of another, both may wind up going down in flames. The economic woes that our country has been in can be in part attributed to some rich and very greedy people taking advantage of those less fortunate. Look at today's verse..Put together with Matthew 7:12, this do a lot to solve the avarice that would make the rich richer and the poor poorer.

I spent 35 years of my life in education, but cannot improve on Jesus' growth. "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man" (Lk. 2:52). This is all we know about Jesus from age twelve to when he began His ministry, but it speaks volumes. We should do all we can so that young people are able to grow in these four areas. They are; intellectually, physically, socially, religiously. Jesus again is the answer.

The problem of sin can leave us all riddled with guilt. It is universal and real! Jesus came into the world to "save His people from sin' (Matt. 1:21). Through our obedience to Him, we can gain our salvation despite our sins. Jesus is our salvation. Jesus is our mediator. Jesus is the answer...Finally, we come to the problem of living again. Man's dream of living in eternity is found only in Him. He died and rose again just for us. His words are poignant. "I am the resurrection and the life; He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die" (John 11:25)...Jesus is the answer!

Have a great day..Go about doing good... Love mark Phil. 4:11
