An Iron-clad Contract

"In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight" (Prov. 3:6).

We have all entered into contractual agreements. When we buy cars and homes, we enter the world of contracts. Signing our name is a pledge by us to make payments that we have agreed to. Both sides have made agreements. I would like to share with your some of the contractual agreements that are made when we become Christians. Today's verse is the first step. When we acknowledge Jesus as our Savior, God strikes up a deal with us. Our promise is to acknowledge and trust. God promises us that our lives will have guidance.."He will make your paths straight." We are not promised that there will be no obstacles along the way, but another promise is made to help us along. "No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, that you will be able to endure it" (1 Cor. 10:13). Our agreement is to be strong and faithful...His is to provide a way of resistance and escape. He assures us that we are able. Maybe its through prayer. Perhaps its though reflection and meditation. He may even provide someone to talk to that can help us. Our God is faithful...He will provide a way

When we enter into the agreement, Jesus says; "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you" (Matt. 7:7). This is an encouragement to stay close so that He can provide the answers. Jesus adds to the promise in Matt:6:33..."But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Our part of the agreement is our trust and faith, and He promises that we don't need to be anxious in anything. Its a great contract...IRON-CLAD....

Have a great day... Go about doing good... Love mark Phil. 4:11
