How Shall I Spend My Life?

"For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find what pleases the Lord" (Eph. 5:8-10)

After helping to develop the V-2 rocket for Nazi Germany, Dr. Wernher von Braun came to this country in 1945. He became a citizen in 1955, and was instrumental in launching our first satellite into space. He became the director of NASA and developed the Apollo rocket. He saw that science and religion walked hand in hand and said; "Viewing the awesome reaches of space....should only confirm our belief in the certainty of its Creator...Without God, life has no meaning." What is our purpose in life, and how shall we spend it? Is it simply to gain power, make a great deal money and have a lot of fun? Why do we do what we're doing and when we get to where we are going, where will we be? A lot of questions today..."Without God, life has no meaning." There is no one on this earth so critical to us that he or she would affect and control our entire life. We must look heavenward for that. It is only God who can give me a complete program for living. It is only God that can give me personal security. It is only God that can free me from personal guilt. Finally, it is only God who can give me a life after death. Jesus wants to be not only our Savior, but He wants to be our Lord...

Our desire should be that Jesus is the Lord of our life. We should seek Him first and keep Him forever. We ought to spend our lives in His service and reap the rewards that accompany that service. God's requirements are simply stated by the prophet Micah..."He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God" (6:8) Without God, life has no meaning...Lets spend it with Him...

Have a wonderful day...Let your light shine for Him... Love mark Phil. 4:11
