Comfort Zone With God

"Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?" (Ps. 15:1).

How many times have you heard about that dreaded "comfort zone?" Usually when it is mentioned, someone is trying to get us out of it. There is much to be said about this, but I am going to turn the tables a bit and talk about getting into a comfort zone. God's comfort zone! Today's verse asks a couple of questions...."Who may dwell in your sanctuary and who may live on your holy hill?" In other words, King David is asking the Lord; "How do I get into your comfort zone?" It would be horrible if we were left hanging here, so the answer is provided in the rest of this short Psalm. By the way, wouldn't this Psalm make some excellent meditation material for today? "He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellow man, who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the Lord, who keeps his oath even when it hurts, who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent....He who does these things will never be shaken" (Vs. 2-5). Truthful people admit their wrongs and don't try elevate their lives at the expense of others. People of the truth desire to base their lives on the God of Truth! "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him, who is the Head, that is Christ." (Eph. 4:15). I think that "grow up into Him," means getting into God's comfort zone..Truthful people are people of integrity and will protect the good name of others...Lets all strive to get into a comfort zone with God....

Have a great start to your week...Begin it with a RAK or two.... Love mark Phil. 4:11
