Churches That Connect

"And He is the head of the body, the church" (Col. 1:18).

Last time I talked about the paralyzed man of Mark 2:1-5 and his friends. They went to an extraordinary measure to connect with the Lord. There were three reasons that we should want to connect with people; to take them to Jesus....to take this mission seriously.....Jesus doesn't throw people away....How about the church, the body of Christ? What are the characteristics of a church that connects with people? I have a few ideas about this, and upon thinking on it, you may come up with some of your own. Maybe you will share with me how your church makes a concerted effort to connect....Churches that connect with people are intentional about it. By this I mean that they really see that connecting is important and make an effort to do it through meaningful worship. Each worship service ought to be a celebration of our love for Jesus. Churches that connect with people are sensitive with their audience and have a sincere desire to meet their needs. Finally, churches that connect with people want to hear strong and positive biblical teaching. Through study and meditation, they want to become more knowledgeable people. Churches that connect have a strong trust in the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit. They have a strong sense in the difference between right and wrong, and want to be on the right side. Just as the men went to extraordinary means to connect with Jesus in Mark 2:1-5, we should want to make that same effort as a church...The word church actually means "the called out." Perhaps we've been called out to connect with people through the Lord...

Have a great beginning to your week...Starting it with a RAK or two would be excellent....Give the credit to the Lord... Love mark Phil. 4:11
