The Apex Of Praise

"Lift up your heads, O you gates; be lifted up you ancient doors, that the King of glory might come in....Who is this King of glory? THE LORD ALMIGHTY-----He is the King of glory" (Ps.24:7&10)

There just are not too many things in our earthly lives that are really worthy of praise. There are those in the world who place wealth as their top priority, so you might say that they praise the "almighty dollar." When politicians run for office, they tend to extol their own virtues, so I guess you might say that they praise themselves...The fact is that we need praise in our lives, but it must be channeled in the proper direction...The apex or pinnacle of our praise is all about how we feel about our God..Simply put, God deserves our praise....He is the spiritual part of our lives that cannot be denied and is worthy of our praise. Now don't get me wrong, getting into the truth of God's Word is without a doubt of the utmost importance. But God's Word and praise are wonderfully intertwined. They make our worship to Him meaningful and beautiful. How can we possibly withhold praise from the author of grace? When we feel the peace that passes understanding in our hearts and lives, how can we not praise it's source? When we experience that joy that comes only from a personal relationship our Lord through His Son, how cannot we not want to give Him all the praise? When we see wonderful acts of service accomplished around us and are a part of it, how can we withhold the praise that is due Him? These were all rhetorical questions in that there is only One in our world that comes close to being praiseworthy, and He is our God....Can I get a "PRAISE THE LORD?" Tomorrow it is churches that praise...

Have a great day...Make a difference, and give Him the praise.... Love mark Phil. 4:11
