About The Quest

"'Come,' He replied, 'and you will see.' So they went and saw where He was staying, and spent the day with Him. It was about the tenth hour" (Jn. 1:39).

For years, daring men have set out on quests. Columbus set sail in a westerly direction on a leap of faith and the rest is history. It took a great amount of faith to go on that quest...Jesus invites all to go on a great quest of faith. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matt. 7:7). Ask, seek and knock are invitations from Jesus to go on that quest. Quests are not supposed to be easy. Sometimes it calls for us to go through some territory that is uncharted. Sometimes the places are charted, but are not where we want to be. We cannot be fooled by some homemade religion made up of human traditions. We can't settle for a "feel-good" belief that exists only on that feeling level. There are those who would tell us that there is a profit motive and thus be sucked into a gospel of prosperity. Our religion cannot be one that we are "arm twisted" into through some quilt. We should be careful on our quest, because our lives depend on it. It needs to be all about seeking the will of God. The quest must be an earnest one, as our God rewards the persistent seeker. He wants us to have a child-like humility on our quest, because that's what we need to truly find Him. When Jesus saw Nathaniel, He said of him; "Here is a true Israelite, in whom there is nothing false" (Jn. 1:47). Our quest must be totally honest...In today's jargon, transparent....Finally, the outcome of our quest must be an "all in" mind set. We must be completely obedient to His will. Only then can we be like the wise builder of Matthew 7 who built his house upon the rock. We will know that our quest has been successful when the storms of life assail and our houses stand. It is all about the quest of finding our own faith....

Have a wonderful day....Find what is good and share it.. Love mark Phil. 4;11
