Soaring - Powered By God

"Even when youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles" (Isaiah 40:30-31).

On that fateful day of December 14, 1903 near Kitty Hawk, NC, Wilbur Wright won the coin toss. He would go first there near the beach at Kill Devil Hills. His flight lasted only 3 seconds and after a few repairs, it was Orville's turn. His historic flight lasted 12 seconds and covered about 120 feet and the rest is history. On the fourth flight of the day in the Flyer I, Wilbur would fly 852 feet with a duration of 59 seconds. Man had always had a fascination with flying. The prophet Isaiah tells us that instead of growing tired or weary, that those who hope in the Lord will "soar on wings like eagles." We can enjoy a power well beyond our own means to do much more than we could ask or even imagine. His spiritual wind can enable us to soar and look down at life through the eyes of Jesus. "You, however are controlled not by the sinful nature, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives within you" (Rom.8:9) As we soar, His spiritual wind controls our height, speed and direction. His spiritual wind will allow us to soar to levels of service that we never even thought was in us. We will want to do good because it is the right thing to do. His spiritual wind can create an internal necessity to be witnesses for Jesus. When we go from crawling to soaring, people will notice the difference. That is when we can tell them about the spiritual wind that has made all the difference in our lives. 1 Corinthians 2:10-16 would be good verses to read and meditate on today. Our God is indeed an awesome God. The Wright Brothers depended on some crude aerodynamics, and an engine to fly. We can soar too...Our credo should be; POWERED BY GOD!

Have a great day...Go about doing good...God will help Love mark Phil. 4:11
