Let Go And Let God

"Trust in God with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding" (Prov.3:5)...."For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways" (Is.55:8).

What was it that allowed Job to overcome a seemingly insurmountable obstacle? I think that I've got the part about living in the moment (one day at a time)...I understand that he was able to focus on overcoming rather than just on his problem(s)....I even fathom the part of knowing that through all that God loved him, but there must be more...In the eleventh chapter of the Book of Hebrews, we have what I like to call "The Old Testament Hall of Fame". The Hebrew writer talks about Abel, Noah, Abraham, Isaac and Moses. He starts each short speech with the words, "by faith." Each of these men had to have an enormous amount of faith as they were asked to do something entirely new to them. They were able to "let go and let God." As we face the storms that will always be there, our faith is what will sustain us. Each of our moments need to be totally enmeshed into a larger picture. That picture is called faith.. It gives us a true perspective on God..This faith is what will allow us to let God in for keeps. I have heard that blind people develop their other senses to a more acute level. People who live by faith will be able to have this more acute sense...The sense of knowing that through God, all things are possible. Through all of his travails, Job clung to this thread of life. God is faithful and God will endue faithfulness upon us when we let Him in...Our faith must be like that of King David the Psalmist and echoed by the apostle Peter. "Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall" (55:22)...."Cast all your anxiety on Him because he cares for you" (1 Pet.5:7). One day at a time, a focus on overcoming rather than just the problem and God loves you...All of these wrapped in the faith that God will sustain us when we let go and let God....

Have a great day...If we don't make a difference, who will? Love mark Phil.4:11
