Trust - Into Uncharted Waters

"I can only imagine what it will be like when I walk by your side,
I can only imagine what my eyes will see when you face is looking at me
."

I Can Only Imagine Bart Millard 2001...revised by Amy Grant

I can only imagine what it must have been like for early explorers who ventured out into the oceans without any navigational devices. Going into uncharted waters was a leap of great faith and courage. The story of the patriarch Abraham is such an epic about venturing into uncharted waters. "The Lord said to Abram, 'Leave your country. your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you'" (Gen.12:1). Abraham trusted the Lord into obedience. That trust continues when told that he will produce a son despite he and his wife being very old. His trust is put to the ultimate test when told by God to sacrifice that son..Putting complete trust in the Lord as Abraham did is like going into uncharted waters for some. "Surrounded by your glory, what will my heart feel, Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still?Imagine, I can only imagine." Believing in Jesus and obeying Him is about simplifying and prioritizing. It is going into those uncharted waters with trust. As we deepen our faith through study and prayer, we can get closer to God in solitude and confession. When alone in the Garden, Jesus was about to venture into the uncharted waters of his own death. His words to his Father were; "yet not my will, but yours be done" (Lk.22:42). When we decide to follow Jesus, we will go to a place we've never been and we must go with those words of Jesus to his Father..."I can only imagine all creation bowed down, The whole universe saying Your name out loud, I can only imagine our broken lives resurrected in the healing light...I can only imagine, just imagine...I can only imagine, imagine."

Have a great rest of the week....Let His light shine in your lives... Love mark Phil.4:11
