Being Spiritually Motivated

"Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart" (2 Cor.4:1).

I am hoping that all of us have some traits that are admirable. We try to refine those positive traits so that our motivation will be what it should be. The best traits that we possess should be spiritually inspired and motivated. As the apostle Paul goes on in this chapter, the spiritual motivation changes to spiritual living. It should become a methodology for us. "Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God" (V 2). When we are spiritually motivated we also will renounce certain things. Things like being counterfeit or phony in any way will become things of the past. We will not allow the "ends justifying the means" philosophy to permeate into the things that we do. We will attempt to become the paradigm or model for Christian behavior. Instead of proclaiming ourselves, we will proclaim the Lord. We will reflect the light that comes from Him into the lives to others. Our true desires in life will be those of a Christian servant as we point people to Jesus. Real power for goodness lies in those who are spiritually motivated....The absolute argument for Jesus lies in those that practice His servant life...

Have a great day... Do let His light reflect from you... Love mark Phil.4:11
