Just This One Question

"Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?" (Ps.15:1).

Have you ever kicked around in your mind questions that you would like to ask God? Maybe it's about some scriptures you don't understand or the fate of a loved one...Maybe it would be about just how much you have to do to still be his child or how far you might go and still be forgiven. You know...That wiggle room thing. King David asks a question in today's verse that bears some contemplation. He has a question for God, but he is certainly not looking for any wiggle room. It is straight-forward and to the point without any qualifiers. "Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?keeping it real. The very cool thing about this byplay is that God keeps it real also as he answers David's question. The short 15th chapter of Psalms might be a good one to read and meditate upon today.."He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart" (V 2).. God goes on in the next three verses, forthrightly answering David's question. Things like; no slander...does good things for his neighbor...doesn't talk bad about his fellow man...despises a vile person, but honors those that fear the Lord...keeps his word...lends money without interest...doesn't accept bribes...His answer tells me that we have a great God who cares enough about us to explain how we should behave. Maybe the next time we have a foolish question for God, we might remember David's. Part of our prayers ought to be a thanks to God for caring so much...Thanks God....Any questions?

Have a wonderful day...Go out and make a difference... Love mark Phil.4:11
