A Victorious LIfe

"Oh, victory in Jesus, my Savior, forever, He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood; He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him, He plunged me to victory, beneath the cleansing flood"

E.M. Bartlett 1939

We all know what victory looks like on the field of athletic competition. One team is smiling and congratulating one another, while the losing team takes on a different demeanor. Throughout my athletic career, I found winning to be much more uplifting than losing. With that in the back of our minds, what does a life of victory look like? "My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him" (Psa. 62:1). A victorious life is one in which we have an intimacy with our God. In an intimate relationship rather than a casual one, we get really close. In a victorious life, the chains of guilt that can bind us has been broken. With God's grace comes forgiveness and freedom from guilt. "I have told you these things that you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (Jn.16:33). In a victorious life we can be optimistic because Jesus has overcome the world..Jesus can calm our sea and meet our every need...A victorious life helps us to build relationships that last and are meaningful. Within a group of believers there is a comradery that is unrivaled. We are all of one accord with the same life goals that ought to make our relationships sweet. Finally, there is the ultimate victory...In a victorious life there is the ultimate triumph over death. "Where, O death is your victory? Where, O death is your sting? But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Cor.15:55 & 57). A victorious life gives us the greatest win of all. A victorious life ends in salvation..It is great to be on the winning team...

Have a wonderful day...Let His light shine through you....Love mark Phil.4:11
