Needing Godly Wisdom

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him" (Jas.1:5).

Sometimes life just doesn't seem to be fair and our attempts to find happiness backfire. We may look around in search for a positive role model, but that doesn't always work out. People have feet of clay and those we look up to often act in an untoward manner. When we attempt to use our own wisdom to solve a thorny problem, we may find that wisdom to be capricious. When James gives us these inspired words about wisdom in today's verse, I believe he is talking about godly wisdom...When we truly want wisdom.....godly wisdom.....we need to pray to God for it. Godly wisdom is able to give us the inner strength that we so badly need. It is able to bring that balance in our lives that allows things to make sense. King Solomon wrote; "This only have I found: God made man upright, but men have gone in search of many schemes" (Ecc.7:29). Godly wisdom can give us insight into things that we cannot find on our own. A person who has godly wisdom can avoid some of life's pitfalls and find it's opportunities. With godly wisdom we are able to view life in a richer and fuller manner...We can look at it through the eyes of God. Finally, we can look at the important decisions of life in the best way. We can make those decisions with God's wisdom instead of our own...Lets follow James' good advice..."If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives generously."

Have a great day...Make your part of the world better... Love mark Phil.4:11
