A Transparent Life

"Now this is our boast: Our conscience testifies that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relationship with you, in the holiness and sincerity that are from God" (2 Cor.1:12).

When they run for office, politicians often make a statement about how their dealings will be if they are elected. We hear them say that all of their workings will be transparent. We take that to mean that we will know about everything they do and how they do it. To borrow a phrase from Rocket J. Squirrel; "That trick never works....." Today's verse is about living a life in a transparent manner. The verse continues...."We have done so not according to worldly wisdom, but according to God's grace." I don't think that we can be transparent with others until we are first open to God. As we mature in the Lord our behavior should reflect Christ-like qualities...."attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ" (Eph.4:13). Jesus is completely transparent with us in how He desires that we live our lives. As we progress from infants in Christ to fully grown Christians, we should not be "tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men and their deceitful scheming" (V 14). The apostle Paul goes on with his teachings in the fourth chapter of Ephesians by writing; "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is Christ" (V 15). Within our churches, we ought to be promoters of transparent living. Just as our own physical bodies are held together, the Church ought to be the same...each one striving to do their part to make Jesus' body here on earth to function as it should...A transparent church.....

Have a wonderful day...Lets reflect Jesus in our daily walk... Love mark Phil.4:11
