Some Stuff About Money

"Whoever loves money never has money enough; whoever has wealth is never satisfied with his income" (Eccl.5:10).

The Book of Ecclesiastes has a lot to say about riches. We may take a look at Solomon with a jaundiced eye. Do we perhaps allow the notion of what it would be like to have all those riches flirt with our senses? We may even be slightly tempted to say; "Yeah, Solomon can talk about the futility of riches because he doesn't know how to struggle with just trying to make ends meet." Though we may entertain such thoughts, there are still some very valuable lessons to be learned from this book. It is so important, that Jesus talks about money more than any other subject. Our attitude about it may become an acid test for our lives especially if we allow it to possess us..."The sleep of a laborer is sweet, whether he eats little or much, but the abundance of a rich man permits him no sleep" (V 12). If we find that money dominates our life more than it should, I give you a bit of advice....We look at the human race as a large group of consumers. Though this may be true, we are more than just consumers....We are stewards... Our lives ought to much more than just making a living. Do you ever pause to think that in raising money, God is actually raising us? The Lord does indeed love a happy giver, so lets make sure that we give from a cheerful and generous heart. Finally, comes my personal clincher...Life should never be a rat race when we can look at verses like Phil.4:11..."I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances."

Have a wonderful day...Go about doing good... Love mark Phil.4:11
