Thanksgiving In Our Heart

"Let us come before Him with Thanksgiving" (Psa.95:2). "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God, it is He who made us, and we are His; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with Thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations" (Psa.100)

Thanksgiving has come to be my favorite holiday. Just the name of the day ought to bring our special relationship with God into focus. It is a day to take stock of where we are today and how we got to this point. It is a time for reflection. Our conviction to Jesus and His kingdom ought to be unwavering as we walk the paths for which He lights the way. It is also a time of social concern. Our church in Northfield was able to identify two families in the area this season who were in need, and provide them with food and goods for the day and beyond. Concern for others is something that Jesus exemplified in His life and is worth emulating in ours. "Where there is no vision, the people are unrestrained, but blessed is he who keeps the law" (Prov.29:18). Being a Christian is a lifelong voyage and we should dream great dreams. Our lives should be in constant renewal mode, as our dedication to Jesus Christ gives a total meaning and an ultimate goal for us. There are too many in the world without vision or hope. Our vision and hope ought to grow stronger and stronger each day. Happy Thanksgiving day to all of you...Lets keep the hope alive and vibrant...Give thanks with a grateful heart...

Have a wonderful day... Make a difference... Love mark Phil.4:11
