Joy

"Nehemiah said, 'Go enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength'" (Neh.8:10).

Christians ought to be in the business of construction and not demolition. It is SO important that we speak to those around us only those things that will bring enlightenment and spiritual strength. Our job is to make those around us better. When the apostle wrote the book of First Corinthians, there were big problems in the church that he addressed. When Titus brought back news that they had remedied their problems, Paul used terms like, "my joy knows no bounds and my joy is exceedingly great" It brought joy to him that people got better. We need to seek to lift souls to Jesus and be filled with unspeakable joy and full glory. It is through our relationships with others that our love for Jesus is made known to them. We can use His divine illumination to light the path for others who are not acquainted with this better way...I am reminded of the children's song, "This Little Light of Mine." "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine" "Hide it under a bushel, NO, I'm gonna let it shine" "All around the neighborhood, I'm gonna let it shine" "Let it shine 'til Jesus comes, I'm gonna let it shine." Through our words and actions we are to take the message of Jesus to those around us. It is not to be hoarded away in the heart but rather shared. When we share with others, we wind up actually having more. When we have the essence of Jesus in us, we have His JOY like a fountain, bubbling and springing forth...It should bubble and spring with such force as to refresh those around us. Nehemiah told us what we gain by having the JOY of the Lord..."FOR THE JOY OF THE LORD IS YOUR STRENGTH."

Have a great start to your week...Begin it with a RAK or two... Love mark Phil.4:11
