What Should They See In Us?

"As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive god's grace in vain.....I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation" (2 Cor.6:1-2)

Somewhere deep inside of us, we all want to look good...Not just physically good, but good through and through. I think that we look good when people see that God's grace resides in us. We look good when they look at us and see a person of credibility. These are two important traits that make up our ministry. In the very next verse after today's, the apostle Paul says; "We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited." He lists some of the internal, external and daily struggles next to show that the ministry will not always be glamorous. What makes our ministry real is found in verse six. "in purity, understanding, patience and kindness;" These are four wonderful heartfelt attitudes that will make us look good by being good. They will do this because we learn them from God. What happens is that if we allow Him, God will continue to build upon these great attitudes. Paul tells us how in the rest of verse six and seven. "in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and the power of God." God will build on the four attitudes with these four magnificent and powerful resources...1. The Holy Spirit. 2. Sincere Love. 3. Truthful Speech. 4. The Power of God. When we exhibit these attitudes and maintain them through the resources that God supplies, we will look good. Moreover we will be good as we help to give our faith and hope a good name. With all of this in place I can't help ending this devotional by saying......"LOOKING GOOD!"

Have a great day... Show the love... Love mark Phil.4:11
