Happy New Year

"You crown the year with bounty, and your paths drip with abundance" (Psa.65:11).

For those of us who are a bit older, 2012 is actually hard to even say...As this new year is upon us, many take time to reflect over 2011. We might look at our church to if it has accomplished enough. Were we an integral part of those accomplishments? With the new year, we often take stock of our personal lives. Was there anything that hindered our growth in the past year? "Let us throw off anything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us" (Heb.12:1). I guess that we can look upon 2012 as the race marked out for us. There is no guarantee that 2012 will be a year without some problems or disappointments. What will make this new year a fruitful one may very well hinge upon how we deal with them. When the Lord is in our lives, we can turn the weights into wings, and the walls to bridges. Adverse conditions should not alter our course as we remember the race. Some resolutions might be in order. Lets make 2012 a happy year. "Happy are the people whose God is the Lord" (Psa.144:15). W should resolve to improve our lives in the avenues of Bible reading, meditation and prayer. Lastly, we should resolve to keep peace and move forward. "but I press on to take hold of that which Jesus Christ took hold of me" (Phil.3:12)....Baseball great Satchel Paige once said; "Don't look back, they may be catching you." Jesus said; "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God" (Lk.9:62). Lets make 2012 the greatest of all years...

Have a great start to your week and year...What better way to begin it than with a RAK or two.... Love mark Phil.4:11
