Guided To Holiness

"You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love" (Gal.5:13).

Possessing Christian ethics is about knowing right from wrong and deals with moral conduct, duty and judgement. As Christians, we are to exhibit a different behavior. According to today's verse the freedom that we have in Christ is not be exercised by indulging in the sinful nature....rather, serve one another in love. Christian ethics is much more than an individualistic thing, but rather a communal one. For the glory of God, we are to become servants. Christian ethics involves a life guided by the Holy Spirit. "You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts" (2 Cor.3;3). Being holy is not some temporary or capricious thing. Words written on paper will fade, but that which is written on the heart will produce a Spirit driven desire to do good. That which is written upon our hearts will provide the constant motivation that we need. There is no salvation outside of the righteousness produced by the Spirit. Our goal should be to become as righteous and holy as possible. The Spirit empowers people to become righteous and holy...Righteous and holy like God.

Have a wonderful day...Spend some time with the Lord... Love mark Phil.4:11
