Loud And Clear

"In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us through his Son" (Heb.1:1-2).

There are times that people might wonder why God doesn't speak directly to us, or why He has not made His will for us more clearly known. It is evident from today's verse that before Jesus came to earth that God spoke to the people through the prophets. I would contend that God has spoken to us in other ways also. Again in today's verses, "but in these last days he has spoken to us through his Son." It is as if God is saying to us through His Son; "this is who I am....this is what I want from you......" When Jesus wanted to emphasize a point He often said: "he who has ears to hear, let him hear" (Mk.4:9). The question I might ask is one about whether or not we listen to what Jesus reveals about God. After saying that he is the way the truth and the life, Jesus says this: "If you really knew me, you would know the Father as well. From now on, you know him and have seen him" (Jn.14:7). When we listen to Jesus, we find out what we must do in this life to live with Him and the Father in the next one. So, through Jesus, God speaks to us....Loud and clear...When we listen to God speaking to us through Jesus, the words should be succinct and precise. Living in the age of instant communication, I use an obnoxious phrase from a TV commercial that brags, "that was so 29 seconds ago......." God speaks to us through His Son Jesus Christ, right now! It should be loud and clear.....

Have a wonderful day.... Let His light shine through you........ Love mark Phil.4:11
