Ways To Joy

"Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, so that through my being with you again your joy in Christ Jesus will overflow on account of me" (Phil.1:25).

Joy is able to spring from many places for Christians. In today's passage, the apostle Paul mentions the joy in faith. It certainly appears to me that joy ought to exude from one's having a confident and powerful faith in God. I think that what faith does is to eliminate any attitude that might prevent joy from occurring. "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about what your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body and what you will wear" (Matt.6:25). Worry should not be able to rob us of joy. "Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid"...

"You of little faith, why did you doubt?" (Matt.14:27, 31). With a strong and abiding faith, doubts and fears cannot take joy away from us. A reminder to get into God's Word on a daily basis will fortify our faith. Remember what today's devotional is all about....As our faith is reinforced, our joy will bubble forth in streams. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Rom.15:13). When we contemplate the abiding joy of the Lord that is inexpressible and full of glory, we know that it will sustain us in all circumstances. It constrains us to shout out; "Rejoice in the Lord always, I will say it again: REJOICE!" (Phil.4:4).

Have a wonderful day....Go ahead.....Rejoice in the Lord! Love mark Phil.4:11
