Reliance Is About Faithfulness

"Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace in our time of need" (Heb.4:16).

How many people are there in your life that you can avow with absolute certainty about their reliance? If you need a second hand of fingers you are a blessed person. What qualities must a person have if they are considered to be reliant? The word that comes to mind for me is faithfulness. If we choose a person upon whom we can rely, their faithfulness must be without flaw. That being said, the field is drastically narrowed. Jesus fills the role of perfect reliance for us. We ought to memorize today's verse as we think of faithfulness. Jesus was perfectly faithful in fulfilling His role as the Son of God! He said: "My food, is to do the will of him who sent me and finish his work" (Jn.4:34)....."The one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what pleases him" (Jn.8:29). Jesus was absolutely perfect and faithful in carrying out the work that was given to Him by the Father. He was faithful in fulfilling the role of our high priest in that he completely understands our shortcomings. "For we do not have a high priest who is not able to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who was tempted in every way, just as we are---- yet was without sin" (Heb.4:15). Today's verse tells us that He is faithful in that He supplies us with mercy and grace. Isn't it reassuring to know that we have a faithful Savior Whom we can rely upon...Can I get an AMEN.....

Have a great start to your week...Begin it with a RAK or two.... Love mark Phil.4:11
