Getting A Good Workout

"For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come" (1 Tim.4:8).

For those of you that try to stay physically fit, today's verse is an intriguing one. At least it says that physical training is of some value. If we can maintain a good level of physical fitness, other things ought to be a bit easier for us. If we have less worry about our bodies, we can spend more time in those that have value for all things...I have proposed a five part program for all of us that should help us to maintain a good level of spiritual fitness. The first exercise essential to good spiritual fitness is reading the Word of God. It will help us in our endeavor to grow in grace and knowledge. The second exercise is spending time in prayer. Together with the Word, prayer is essential to our spiritual fitness as it strengthens our relationship with God. The third exercise is singing praises to the Lord. Praising the Lord is integral to our spiritual well-being as it enriches our souls and fortifies our relationship with God. If your voice isn't pleasing to you, the praise should be in your heart where it comes from anyway. The fourth exercise is all about fellowship with the brethren. Frequent fellowship is a fundamental key to remaining faithful and firm in the Lord. This fellowship with other Christians will strengthen our faith in God and His Son. The fifth exercise essential to good spiritual fitness is in our Christian service. Doing good works allows us to reap many spiritual benefits, and if done regularly, will build our spiritual endurance....There you have it! Now lets all have a great workout......

Have a wonderful day....Go about doing good....RAKs are good... Love mark Phil.4:11
