Stay With The Field

"So is my Word that goes out from my mouth. It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into songs before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thorn bush will grow the pine tree, and instead of briars the myrtle will grow. This will be for the Lord's renown, for an everlasting sign, which will not be destroyed" (Isa.55:11-13).

Despite some men's effort and lack of understanding, the Word of God will accomplish its purpose. Isaiah portrays the Word here as a seed. It is a seed which goes forth from my mouth and will not return empty. There is a harvest of joy and peace out there, but it is only for those who have a relationship with the Lord through His Word... When we don't avail ourselves of His Word, we run a risk. The risk is that of giving up on the field before the harvest is accomplished. The world offers us weeds that will choke out the intended crop, but only if we let it. We cannot give up on the field if we want that harvest. Today's scriptures tell of the harvest ahead and would be good to meditate upon today. Getting to love and serve our God is wonderful privilege, with some awesome promises included. "You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into songs before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands." The imagery is simply spectacular as I see the mountains singing and the trees clapping...By faith, we are able to walk into the world of God's blessings, as instead of the thorn bush will grow the pine tree and in place of briars will be the myrtle. The truly amazing aspect of all this is that we don't earn it! God has already done it all through His Son....He asks us to develop a deeper intimacy with Him and His Son through the Word for the prosperity to come to fruition. It is all about what God does and not what man achieves. Our work is to persist and stay with the field. For the harvest will be accomplished, and it will be great....

Have a great day...Think Big....Act Small.... Love mark Phil.4:11
