How's The Walk Going?

"For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light. (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness, and truth)" (Eph.5:8-9).

Much is said and written about our Christian walk. I take it to mean the manner in which we live. Earlier in the book of Ephesians, the apostle Paul writes; "I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received" (4:1). He goes on in the next three verses to describe the purpose of our calling. These would be good verses to read and meditate upon today.... We are to be "completely humble and gentle." We are to be "patient, bearing with one another in love." We are to "make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." Our Christian walk is to be perfectly aligned with the purpose of our calling. First we ought to walk in the light, living lives that are holy and above reproach. There ought to be a sharp contrast between those in the light and those left in the darkness of the world. Next we should walk in love. God and His Son are to be our examples. God loved us enough to send Jesus to us, and Jesus loved us so much that He gave Himself up for us. This wonderful fragrance of love should exude from us at all times in our Christian walk. Lastly, our walk must be one thats packed with wisdom. "Be very careful, then, how you live (walk)---- Not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity" (5:15). We gain this wisdom through the Word of God, and James tells us: "If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him" (1:5). We want to walk in this wisdom so that we can understand the will of God in our lives. So..... How's your walk going? Lets be sure that we are walking in light, love, and wisdom...Now that's a great walk.....

Have a wonderful start to your week....Begin it with a RAK or two.... Love mark Phil.4:11
