Benefits Of Bible Classes

"Open my eyes that I may see wonderful things in your law" (Psa.119:18).

I have always subscribed to spending time alone in Bible reading and meditation. I look to the reading part as being for the body, and the meditation for the soul. But there are other ways to get into the Lord's Word that can certainly be valuable to us, and that is in a Bible class. Whether it is one of the scheduled Bible classes on Sunday or Wednesday or a study in someone's home, Bible classes can be very important to us. One of the benefits is that we can ask questions about what has been studied as the study gets deeper. Since classes are less formal, most teachers encourage question and answer periods. Comments in a class by various students allows one to share their knowledge with one another. We get to enjoy the fellowship of studying with other Christians and often the comments of other members of the class are just as important as those of the teacher. "Let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds" (Heb.10:24). I am always encouraged, whether as a teacher or student, when there are many people participating in a class. Our presence encourages and stimulates one another as surely as our absence discourages each other. But there is this one thing that I believe to be true... Our presence and participation can inspire others to want to learn more about God's Word. Despite the benefits, many fail to attend the Bible classes. Over the years, I have heard all of the excuses, but this one always stands out. "I just don't get much out of that class." Have you heard that one? Tomorrow I will offer some suggestions on how to get more out of a Bible class....

Have a great start to your week.... Begin it with a RAK or two.... Love mark Phil.4:11
