Being Practitioners - APCDs

"Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says" (Jas.1:22).

A Nurse Practitioner is an APRN. (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse) To get to this stage of practice a person must take an advanced Master's program in graduate studies. The Nurse Practitioner is able to do much more in their field. A Christian who wants to become a true practitioner must also take advanced studies so they will able to do more. These studies involve more reading and meditation in God's Word. Attending and participating in Bibles classes can help and might lead to a teaching position. In today's verse, James is admonishing us to be more than just spectators in the game of life. A spectator might read some, but is never quite able to get over the hump of putting it into practice. We can get lured into basking in the glow of a good worship service. The sermon was good, the prayers were meaningful, and the Lord's Supper was a moving experience. So, what's next? INVOLVEMENT! The practitioner wants to get involved in the game as a participant. He or she has taken advanced training and want their actions to speak with greater volume that their words. The practitioner wants to attend to the needs of others. They don't want to be disqualified from this, so they try their very best to keep untainted by the world. We ought to all strive to become an APCD.... An Advanced Practice Christian Doer.... Give some thought to how wonderful it would be to fellowship in a congregation of practitioners.... To be a part of a group that wants to be known for their deeds over their words... It begins with me....

Have a wonderful day... Do good, give Him the credit... Love mark Phil.4:11
