"Remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive'" (Acts 20:35).

I'm not sure where the term RAK came from. Oh, I know that it stands for random act of kindness, but the origin of those letters eludes me. It may have come as a result of those shortened terms that people use when they text one another. Regardless.... I Love it! When it comes to have a real sense of worth about oneself, there is nothing better than having a healthy attitude of giving. Giving comes in many shapes and sizes. Being polite and kind to people that you don't know, if only by a smile or a thank you, is something that we all can practice. Giving up some of your time to be of service to others, especially those in need is a wonderful way to fulfill our need for giving. People who are actively engaged in the giving process, wherever it might be, are said to report a higher sense of well-being. Those words of today's verse echo through the corridors of time... This quote of Jesus from the Book of Acts is one of the rare ones that is not found in the Four Gospels. That being said, Jesus led an exemplary life in all things, especially giving. Jesus did say these words: "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you" (Lk.6:38). Giving is often a cyclic thing. Although real giving is done with no expectation of return, it does come with the guarantee of God's blessing... Our local churches afford us many opportunities to give, both of money and our time. The great thing is that we can see our gifts being used for good. Time.... Money.... Service....RAK.... All of these will help us to be spiritually well-adjusted Christians...

Have a great start to your week.... And of course.... Begin it with a RAK... Love mark Phil.4:11
