Equals the Angle of Reflection

"Blessed (happy) is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in the law he meditates day and night. He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in its season and its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers" (Psa.1:1-3).

You may have guessed from today's verses, where I am going with some more thoughts on reflections. Instead of using the term reflection, the Psalmist chooses a similar one.... meditate.... He views the person who reflects or meditates upon the word of God to be blessed or happy. He says that this blessed person doesn't give the Word a cursory glance, but meditates on it day and night... As a result of these reflections, this person flourishes like a tree that bears much fruit. King David tells us about the virtues of reflecting on the Word in another Psalm. I would like for all of us to reflect and meditate upon Psalm 19: 7-11, 14... I can't help but waxing on about the virtues contained in these verses. It is perfect and restores the soul and its testimony is sure in making the simple to be wise... They are right and cause the heart to rejoice. They are pure and enlighten the eyes... The Lord's judgements are true and righteous altogether... They are much more desirable than fine gold and sweeter than honey dripping from the honeycomb... By them we are warned and in keeping them, there is great reward. David finishes the Psalm with these beautiful words: "Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock, my Redeemer" (V 14). If the words of Psalm 19 are not worthy of reflection, there are no words ever written that are. Lets find the blessedness and happiness of meditation and reflection upon the Lord's Word... Lets find it today....

Have a great day... Keep reflecting... Love mark Phil.4:11
