Reaching The Pinnacle

"Dear friends, since God so loved us, we should love one another" (1 Jn.4:11).

Christian morality reaches its pinnacle when we exhibit love for our fellow man, and especially show that love for our brothers and sisters in the Lord. From this viewpoint, love is a special Christian concept, peculiar to believers. But all of us know non-believers who lay claim to loving one another, so the concept is not foreign to people in the world. I believe that God has revealed that in all circumstances, people do well when they love one another. For the Christian, that love reaches its pinnacle when we love the Lord, our neighbors, and those who share our faith. Some of the greatest secular songs ever written are about love. Many people who are non-Christian or even non-religious, will listen and sing those songs. To draw a distinction, perhaps it would be good to ask a simple question... "Why is it good when we love one another?" The non-believer would be hard-pressed to come up with a plausible answer. To the apostle John, it is a no-brainer... "And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him" (1 Jn.4:16). Love is built into the foundation of the universe... God Himself is love. Just as breathing, eating, and drinking are inherent to us staying alive, love in inherent in God. For this reason, we as His created beings, do well when we love. In loving we reflect Christ-like traits that we so desperately want to exhibit. In showing love, we reach the pinnacle... Tomorrow, God revealing His love...

Have a wonderful day... Do good.... Give Him the glory... Love mark Phil.4:11
