The Line In The Sand

"He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters" (Matt.12:30).

It is clear from the writings of the apostle John that he had been with Jesus, as his teachings echo those of our Savior. "Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar because he has not believed the testimony God has given about His Son" ( 1 Jn.5:10). John's line in the sand about belief in Jesus is quite similar to the testimony that Jesus gave in today's verse and in other teachings. John even ups the ante in the scripture I just wrote for you. His line in the sand is a bold and stark one. If you believe in Jesus as God's Son, you will step over the line onto my side and into the light. If not, you make out God to be a liar , and stay in the dark... A person cannot make a choice with any more significant ramifications than either an acceptance or rejection of that testimony that God makes about His Son... In acceptance one embraces... He or she embraces a wonderful hope. When we choose acceptance we embrace a relationship with God and all it entails. In acceptance we are able to embrace a congregation of believers like us for support. Lastly, when we accept we embrace a moral code to guide our lives down the path of righteousness. Those who do not accept and call God a liar, wander aimlessly from cradle to coffin, subject to sin and death... That line in the sand ..... The choice between accepting God's testimony or calling Him a liar is a stark and sober one... At least its not lost in some fine print... The line is big and bold...

Have a great day... Do good.... Give God the glory... Love mark Phil.4:11
