Congregational Values

"Everyday they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread together in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were saved" (Acts 2:46-47).

Jesus stressed brotherly love and unity throughout His ministry. "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (Jn.10:34-35). The influence and value of a strong congregational demonstration can never be underestimated. Today's verses surely illustrate the importance and value of the love and joy within a congregation. It might be good for us to read and meditate upon Acts 6:1-6 today. It shows how a congregation reacted to a particular need within its ranks, so that things could proceed without a hitch.. We should take care to make sure that our fellowship and worship demonstrates the love that we have found in Jesus Christ, even if it is just in the way we greet one another. It should also demonstrate our joy of being Christians that we display in praising God. Everything about Jesus has made peace possible, and we should show it by the way we work together in harmony. We should be very careful not to allow our fellowship to fall into the materialistic trap. Though they may have some significance, too much importance should not be placed upon the facility in which we meet, or the appearances of members or visitors. God truly looks at the heart, and we should try to do this also. The materialistic trap is just that... A trap to lure us away from the weightier matters of our spiritual lives... LOVE..... JOY..... HOPE..... PEACE..... Lets make sure that these are the things that are stressed within our fellowship....

Have a wonderful day... Show His love to others... Love mark Phil.4:11
